What you'll do

You don’t have to go to Everest for some excellent outdoor ice climbing. Come experience our 60-foot ice climbing routes, specially created for beginners in Elora, Ontario’s historic gorge.

What's included

High Quality Instruction

Learn how to ice climb with a specially trained instructor.

Full Equipment

We provide all the necessary safety gear such as harnesses, helmets, crampons, boots and axes to ensure your day is fun, stress-free and safe.

Complimentary Belay Lesson

Belay lesson is included for complete beginners.

Please bring your own lunch, water and snacks for the day

Where you'll be

The Ice Climbing program will take place in Victoria Park, in Elora, Ontario. We will first meet at the ONE AXE Office just a short walk away at 24 Henderson St. Elora (front doors). We start indoors with safety talk, demo, sizing boots and belay instruction.

Keep these in mind

Cancellation Policy
 

Cancel up to 7 days prior to the program date to receive a full refund. Reschedule up to 48 hours prior to the course date ($50 fee per person). No refunds or rescheduling with less than 48 hours notice.

Weather Policy

​

Courses run in extreme weather conditions. Courses may be rescheduled due to dangerous weather conditions or if the temperature is too warm.

Participant Considerations

​

  • A moderate activity level is required

  • Our harnesses fit up to 52 inches

  • Helmet circumference fits 19 to 24 inches

  • The min boot size is W4.5 and max boot size is M13.5 (you can bring your own boots or use ski boots if you are out of this range)

  • If you have any health concerns, please consult a physician

  • Must be accompanied by an adult if 13 and under
